depends on 2 things

1 how many years NCB you already got
2 what insurance company your with

most insurance companies only reduce the premium for the first 5 years any more than that and theyre classed as extra as they have a sort of points scheme for different incidents such as 2 yrs NCB removed for a minor shunt if found to be your fault ( im not full up on the finer details but thats what the fine print says on most the policies ive had in the past )

however some insurance companies will give premium reductions and discounts for up to 10 years you just have to ask the insurers about this when shopping for quotes if they say they cant answer for legal reasons n **** theyre lieing as this should be free open information

mines just come through at ten quid less than last year... rang them up to renew as i cant be arsed to spend the time on meerkats , realistically its unlikely to be more than a few quid saving, woman on the phone says she'll check for requotes and knocks fifteen quid off. that was the rac.
