I'm gonna have a bash at spraying my dash because frost.co.uk are extremely confident about their products (no peeling or cracking/vinyl absorbs paint, etc.). Just took a pic and something seems awry?? There's a cut out on my dash sill leaving a gap in the lighter grey panel beneath. I can't find any pictures of old dashboards on google images. I'm wondering if the sill is from a later model with a passenger grab handle. What d'ya reckon. Thanks in advance if you respond.

Cheers. Been able to find pics now I google 200 tdi. Looks like either my dash isn't down proper or the grey grill needs lifting up to fill the gap. Some have a lower dash. D'ya know if I'm missing it or was it an add on?

The cutout is where the dash instrument panel would fit in a LHD Landy, cheaper to make one part for both.
There should be a black plastic finishing strip on top of the lower dash (it would sit where the bottom right arrowhead is touching), but these often break.

Yeah I've still got that finishing strip. I think it looks like the grey panel under the dash sill has slipped down a few inch leaving the gap at the top.

I forgot that mine's only a 300tdi cos of the engine so I'll need to remember that when doing searches. I don't want to upgrade the dash. The more I make it like a modern car, the more I'll think I might as well be driving a new one (I wouldn't swap mine for a singing and dancing 2011+ defender with money my way :0) I like having just the essential buttons.

I'm just wondering now if mine is missing the bottom bit shown in this picture, or whether whoever's this is has added on as an aftermarket upgrade (the bottom bit with the fan vents in it)?

I recovered the top crash pad pf my old landy using black vinyl. Really easy job to do and looks good, plus very cheap as well. No fancy stitching or anything like that but just covered the various holes and scuffs that had appeared over its 30 years.
