Can I just pack with 10 mm plate on the inside between the box and body mounts and keep the outer tight to the door pillar ?

Ive got some 120 x 60 box cut to length for £30. Just have to do something with bottom of door pillar return, either cut it off or bend it straight.

Your right, I found a better source for the box section , I just rang a local small business and got lucky with 120 x 60. Reckon I got a bargain.
What exactly are the A and B pillars ?
