Hi every one, I live in Dalton in Furness and was advised that a Rangerover would be a good towing vehicle so I bought one, it's a P38 and already I have a few problems. The airbag lights on and I found the air bag plug under the drivers seat is unattached I presume it plugs into the ecu's under the seat but wanted to check before setting off the air bags. The other problem is the ABS light is on to I was going to do a resistance check on the sensors but I'm having problems getting to a plug to check them are they far away from the sensor? The other stuff I think I can sort but I would be very grateful for any help and advice you can offer

I've run 300 dti disco's and found them great for towing but crap for rotting so thought a rr would be a better option

Air bag lights coming on just after purchase of a car is quite common. Usualy cased by the seat being in one position for so long then being moved. If your concerned about pluging it back in then disconnect the batter and leave for min 30 mins before touching it. But make sure you have eak and any radio codes first

its a 4 digit code that need to enter in via door lock by turning the key in lock to turm off immobaliser, as by disconnecting the battery it looses it sync with the key fob. If you havent got it you can get it via main dealer. My mate got his other day, all he had to do was ring them and give chassis number. If you got the handbook it all detailed how to do it in there. If not let me know and will copy it out of my book for you. But someone else will be able to help if need it sooner

Cheers for that mate i have that number in the owners pack I got with the vehicle. Thanks for the advice much appreciated
