Just passed my third MOT.
However, I did have some advisories this time, so age is beginning to take an effect.

1) Offside front brake hose slight corrosion to ferrules.
2) Rear diff oil leak. (apparently it is only slightly damp indicating a leak in its very early stages)
3) Rear exhaust silencer corroded but serviceable.
4) Offside rear brake pipe corroded.

Can anyone tell me where are the leak points on a rear diff and what are ferrules on a brake hose?

Ferrules are at each end of the rubber flexible pipe. These are very unlikely to cause a problem with leakage any time soon. However if the ferrules are that rusty, the rubber pipes will be past there best. I like to change my brake flexible pipes every 5 years.
Diff is likely to leak at the drive shaft joints. If it's only some staining, you are ok for a while yet.
The rusty rear brake line is the most important thing on that list.
