Then if it is still under garantee take it to tech dept and show them the pics youve taken on your phone and see what they say...your getting absolutly knowhere on your own...
That doesnt make any sence at all are you sure you heard them correctly and were you talking to the tech section...investing in new software to make old software work? because your software is to new!...youve been told on here your software on your lap-top is being used by members with no problems...

What about installing XP on a virtual machine in vmware if you have the xp disks

@tyke100 I'm happy to log into your laptop using teamviewer to see if I can get it sorted. I'm no expert with rsw software as I use nanocom but I've spent years trying to get USB to serial converters working.

Problem now is getting an IT engineer to come out with said hammer, that's why Windows was created as a Microsoft virtual hammer.
I know I am. And I know others got it working.
I did everything I been told how to.
It's not working.
And I have no idea about computers.
If it's not working I ask someone to do it for me.
If it's still not working it dosnt.
Since xp I never ever was interested how computers work.
I have an xp computer in front of me.now.

Dont take this the wrong way but if it has spell check it might help with your posts...I know sod all about computers but the guy I go to" Lucian your brill" sorts everything out for me and explains it and updates at no extra charge after sorting and helping me use my lap-top to it's best use...

We actually used to keep one in the server room at Vodafone. It had "Hard reset" written on it in permanent marker.

RSW solutions has videos on youtube regarding his software and how to troubleshoot it..
I find i'm more productive after a bottle of whisky..
Only issue is i seldom remember how i fixed it after the terrible hangover the day after

She usual can sit the laptop out for me.
Even she failed.on that.
The closed.com port.is an issue nothing available to sort it.
I have no idea how it came to this and before I loose all my easy access web pages and what else is on the laptop I rather leave it alone now.
I go crazy when a win update appears and I have to find all those stupid passwords again.
Even the other half did.

Yes there is...go to a software tech person show him the pics on your phone of screen details you had with your lap-top and let him check...it's only a machine like your P38...
I had last week when it updated.
Fleebay amazon ... everything asked for the passwords again.
Driving me nuts.
