Well I went to change a track rod end and found a rather banana shaped steering bar so now the option was spend a fortune on 1 or get some heavy duty ones for a bit more.

I got the hd ones

I think that WLM may be onto something....most water pump failures I have had have been spring/early summer . Except the Britpart ones which go on a 3 month basis .

I bought a britpart water pump when i did the cambelt etc it lasted a month before it started squeeling - removed belt & it had so much play it was unbelievable stuck the old one back on & its been fine.
Only use britpart if its your only option in my opinion ! I had no choice unfortunatly & have fitted lots of other britparts due to having no money so will keep you posted on how long the other items last !
