Hi all, I have 2 slight issues with my 2002 hippo I'm hoping are related so it's an easy fix. Intermittent aircon/blowers and intermittent alarm, the reason I suspect they are related is, if I'm driving along with the blowers on but not working and hit a bump, every now and then they burst into life, same with the alarm sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't, central locking works perfectly. I've not had chance to have a look yet missus had an emergency c section early hours wednesday and the lad has been poorly since so I'm spending all my time at the hospital. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks

Can't really help with the blower other than to suggest a loose connection somewhere - but that's rather obvious! How do you know that the alarm is only working intermittently?

I can suggest flowers, chocolates and lots of love for the Mrs. Same for the lad to - less the flowers and chocolates!

Hoping the little fella pulls through quickly.

The alarm pips the horn when you set it (occasionally) and when you try to open a door when the car is locked the alarm will go off (again occasionally) it's probably 50/50 if it's going to work or not. I need to find some time to have a good poke around.
Thanks I hope so need to get them both home ASAP

The horn will sound when you set the alarm if a door (or the back window?) is open. If you think all the doors and back window is closed, then it may be one of the switches on a door.

Ohh thanks did not know that, quite often I'll leave the rear window open a touch!

Which rear window? Tailgate or side door window? Tailgate should give a warning bleep.
Sorry, tailgate. I've just tried locking it with tailgate window open slightly, 5 or 6 attempts, no need but the horn went on one occasion.
