I'm in the middle of fitting a 200 tdi in to my Series 3 swb.

I've got the injectors to fit, wiring to hook up, boost pipes to attatch and then the radiator pipes.

Can anybody share me some under bonnet pics of a 200tdi in a series please. So I can get an idea where the rad hoses run too and what to do about an expansion bottle.

Tar, Ad

yeah i can if you pm me your e-mail address. The pics may not be much use if you used the standard series rad as i used one from a TDi.

let me know

cheers

am trying to add photos but am hopeless at this sort of thing...

halfords sell them part no is HLF 215 £13 each i also used two more joined together for the bottom hose as i used a new 300 tdi rad, don't ask any of the numpties in there as they will just say they don't have them just pull draws out from under the shelves where the hoses are or look in pigeon holes if they have them ours does.

Graham - looking at the pics you posted the engine sits a lot lower than mine, what sort of clearance do you have between the crankshft pulley and the front diff / axle??

cheers

Hi oversteer

i don't have the landy anymore as i sold it two months ago so can't measure it but from memory with std springs and off roading some times the front axle would skim the crank pulley so i changed to parabolics since then it never touched as the chassis sits about 2"- 3" higher and when off roading it never touched, the engine was sat on std petrol engine mounts and rubbers hope this helps.

I'm having clearance issues with my 300 tdi.
I did mange to weld on new mounts and get everything in without taking the wings off.
Having probs now getting the pipes to the rad, the 300 is a bit longer.
