I think I've found the problem. I feel quite ashamed. Took it to my local garage this morning. Tourqued up the wheel correctly etc.
N/s wheel bolts looser than they should of been,
N/s hub nut needed tightening.
And the worst bit of all....
the disc screws missing. It sounded like a buckled bike wheel. Rubbing on and off.
They must of been loose from the vibration from the old drive shaft and I didn't think to tighten them. Then they have fallen out and neither me or the VM's have noticed. Now need to find some asap as I'm driving to the airport tonight

Disc screws shouldn't make any difference. The disk is held by the wheel nuts, the screws are only there to hold the disc in place while the wheel is off.
If fixed then the hub nut was probably the cause.

disc screws are irrelevant and serve no purpose once wheel is fitted , the only issue may be if they are half screwed out and prevent wheel fitting square

Sorry for the late response. I got two missing disc screws and fitted them that day.
No more noise. Who knows could The are on the way out.
New issue now as the fuel gauge has a life of its own. Never ending!
