Just searching old posts and the general recommendation is to use 35mm welding cable. Can anyone confirm if this will fit ok into the plugs and do the different plug colours have different size terminals. Also, what could be the maximum length of lead I could have at 35mm.
Cheers.

Cable sizing , https://www.12voltplanet.co.uk/cable-sizing-selection.html

Hope it helps a little

would advise using the entry boot covers as the connections have a tendency to work loose over time and jump the spring retaining /contact pressure plate and pop out
the other problem due to the size of the cables they tend to bend where they enter the plug the boot cover will stop this (many years of fork lift truck maintenance) would
recommend welding cable some of the jumper cable are not up to the job usually the pvc types melt unlike welding cable which will tolerate high current loads

Ive smiled many a time looking at really thick jump cables to then see the wire is a thin as can be and the apparent thickness is all pvc sheathing!
