I have cracked the airbag protocol on my wife's 2002 Freelander and my customers now have access to this, but my understanding is that the earlier models had a different protocol.

If anyone near me can contact me I would like to crack the early protocol as well.

If I can offer anything in exchange, such as access to my T4 or something let me know what you would like.

Thanks, Philip

Hi
I have a 99 FL 1 .
I'm new to these cars , and not really sure what you mean by ' airbag protocol , , but if I can be any use , let me know .
I'm just down the road in Hillingdon.

Regards
Rob

If your car has a fault you (or a technician/mechanic) can connect a diagnostic tool to the car to help figure out what the fault is. The protocol is how the tool communicates with the car. By airbag protocol I mean how the tool specifically communicates with the airbag control module. There are separate modules for the engine, airbags, ABS etc each with a separate protocol.
I will send you a PM. Thanks!
