Hi Guys,

After spending 2 days searching the forum, to no avail,

My question is, does the use of an AMR4956 bypass wire mean that I can remove the AMR4866, or do I need to keep both pieces of kit fitted?

Sorry in advance if ive missed this on another thread,

Im fitting the engine and box from my 3.9i into my Lightweight, and want to carry over as few electronics as possible,

Many thanks in advance
Steve

Yeh Ive been looking on here how others have tackled the job, and it looks quite easy to ditch all that lot and just use the brown, white and white and purple wires in the efi loom plug,

Thanks for the help.
Steve

Still not much help but a standard efi wiring diagram is available in the back of the Haynes manual.

Off the top of my head so no help again :) u will need inputs to the ECU from a permanent 12v, ignition switch supply, speedo drive & coil, and then outputs from the ECU to the coil, fuel pump and injectors.

Hi Guys again,

Any help appreciated,

Is this the plug I need to power my efi and pump?
what wires do what and which side of the plug do I need to use?

Hopefully theres a picture or file or something attached to this post...

Thanks in advance Steve

Nah mate, its deffo not for the radio, or Im guessing the radio would come on for 4 seconds then go off till the engine is cranked, as its got live feeds in there for the fuel pump.
but thanks anyway at least your offering help.

Steve

looks like it ,it needs battery feed (brown)ignition live and purple/white is out put to pump the rest off the efi loom is self contained and engine loom ie starter ,alt ,temp and oil and coil feed are wired from original vehicle loom

yes ecu should have 2 relays as well that come out with loom near ecu ,efi feed is one relay fuel pump the other battery and ignition feed efi relay and p/w is output to pump from other, there is a -coil pick up in loom that lets ecu know engine is been cranked and 2 earths on rear of head
