....swapping the 90 for a V8 RRC?

I've wanted a classic-shape Range Rover for several years, whilst at the same time wanting a 90/110 - when my 90 came up for sale at a ridiculously good price I forgot about having an RRC and decided to concentrate on having great fun with the 90. However earlier today I was following a V8 RRC in burgundy, listening to that V8 rumble and I started seriously considering a swap.

Currently my 90 needs bulkhead repairs/replacement for it's MoT (Aug 17th), it also needs the engine sorting out (still a bit sluggish/smoky), and it needs paint. On the plus side I like pay & play days which means the 90 is ideal with short overhangs and a simple 12J 2.5 NAD which means nearly nothing to go wrong, and if the engine does go pear-shaped I have a spare 12J that needs re-assembling. It's more than powerful enough for chugging along a green lane or around P&P sites. But I love the sound of the V8, and the thought of bombing round a P&P site in complete luxury or being able to make the journey from Cornwall to Shropshire to visit the family without being deafened is very appealing  .

So, what should I do?

Is this the turd as well Bust???

Had the issue decided for me - Dad's coming down this weekend and we're welding the bulkhead and sorting out the rough running. Took it out Sunday to Baldhu (only other cars there were 2 Hilux Surf's!) and and had a great time - but I did things in the 90 that i'd never try in a Range Rover because i'm not so worried about damaging the 90 - dented Landies look cool whilst dented RRC's don't.

Still on the lookout for a good RRC but not got room for one as well as the 90 at the moment!

Cheers!
