Well after having my 1990 calssic 3.9 V8 back for a week , see the posts:

I have noticed that just before it changes up a gear , or if you hit that speed/throttle coming down or hold it there it makes a teeth grinding resonance. Like the engine is labouring in manual but not as noisy.
Its not that loud but my fussy ear notices it and it didnt do it before I had the work done.
My question is, is it soemthing he has done like: Partially blocking the exhaust ports somewhat with exhaust putty? not adjusting something properly when putting the transfer box back in? or is it the new govenor shifting up as it should but the old one wasnt so I am not used to it?
Another good description of it is like drving at speed with really nobbly off road tyers for a second or two.
Please tell me whats wrong as I am sooo annoyed that- that chimp who did the work has fixed one problem but given me more!
