Yes my ABS is ****ered!!
Self inflicted this time:mad::mad:
Was using a hub puller to remove the NS hub so i could change the diff......yes you guessed it i forgot to pull the ABS sensor out....plonker..
Crushed the end of the sensor big style.
Replaced the sensor but now got the ABS fault showing on my display.
Code's are :-
080056 Brake switch failure......brake lights work ok!
08010 No voltage at pin 1 ECU when ignition on
08014 Front right wheel air gap too large.....Puahed sensor in till it touched reluctor ring and then pulled back about 1mm...no change
08016 Front left ...as above
08056 Front left wheel sensor open circuit....new sensor fitted still same.

Let the abuse begin:D

Sensor must be pushed in until it touches reluctor ring and left where it is. Air gap will be set when wheel turns.

Can I ask what RR you have?

Not to worry, I checked in your profile.

Have you checked that all relays and fuses are working?

(Apologies if teaching to suck eggs)

The ABS electrical system, has relays and fuses located in the engine bay fusebox.

  • Relay 2 (yellow) - ABS valve relay.
  • Relay 15 (green) - Ignition relay - ABS power
  • Relay 17 (black) - ABS pump relay
  • Fuse Maxi 3 (40 amp) - ABS pump relay
  • Fuse Maxi 24 (5 amp) - ABS ECU - Ignition supply
  • Fuse 27 (30 amp) - ABS ECU - Battery supply.
080056 Brake switch failure......brake lights work ok! ..... The switch is factory set and should require no adjustment. So, it's either a faulty switch (doubtful as you've said the lights work) or a blown fuse (plausible)

08010 No voltage at pin 1 ECU when ignition on ..... Check Fuse 27

08014 Front right wheel air gap too large.....Pushed sensor in till it touched reluctor ring and then pulled back about 1mm...no change .... As WAMMERS states, clean sensor tip, insert fully and forget about it.

08016 Front left ...as above .... As above :D

08056 Front left wheel sensor open circuit....new sensor fitted still same. .... I can only suggest you re-check the fitting of the new sensor, was the wiring damaged in anyway? Check cct Fuses/relays then re-check cct again once fault 08016 has been rectified.

HTH :)
