alternative to welding

i dont johnny - not sure i can use this bloke now anyway as he dont deliver... thats a shame.......
another question is will i need to get another regulator if i get one of them bottles even tho i have one on for a small bottle (i believe)

pretty sure bout it matey the little regulator you mentioned is it for the white disposable cylinders if so yer youll need a bigger regulator to fit the pub bottles:cool::cool:
 
welding shop locally.

ill ave a spin over to that place i know of near dukinfield tomorow then :D:D:D
didnt think a welding shop would do pub bottle regulators as theyre 2 different trade things and i know the breweries dont like yer useing their bottles for welding :D:D

Still need to figure out mig welding myself, got a clarke one that seems alright and isn't one of the ****ty gasless ones,

Never done mig welding, but I have done oxyacetylene copper brazing, does that make it any easier for me?!

Hopefully job of the weekend is to finally get round to cutting up some of the old metal in my yard and drive and have a play....
 
i am hoping to start playing with mine on monday or tuesday, ordered new tips and wire and just need to gett a gas bottle now so i can have a little go......send us some of yer scrap as well mate....

ive got to wait till weekend te get me welder back its still in rochdale (other side of manchester) and me bottle comes on saturday aswell hee hee cant wait

think me first job when i get it all up n running again is to make some kind of trolley fer it ( been meaning to use that 2" angle iron and wheelie bin axles n wheels fer months now )

good little practise exercise i think since ive not touched that particular welder for over 18 months now :D:D
 
bluddy hell neil your really throwing those nobbles in thick and fast lol.....
didnt win the bulkhead pipped at the last second...
only did some sanding and priming today, wanted to start seeing some results to build me back up again.... will try and take it off tomorrow and start searching for repair bits (what do you recon i gonna need)?

what you gonna need? on a budget, so a big sheet of steel, a big roll of mig wire, lots of gas, lots of slitting and grinding discs for the angle grinder, a lot of patience and a limitless amount of time.
thats why i wanna see it off!:D

Its a bridge that goes accross 6 lanes of traffic with and advertising board in the centre

now thats Welding :D

Well the above was finally completed and now it sites nicely on the A56 in Manchester :cool:
