Some info I wanted to share with you. If you've fancied having a go at driving your Land Rover off road, or are board of P&P sites. Then the new Q Class from the ALRC might be just the ticket.

The ALRC have been running off road trials events for decades, but have always been rather strict with what modifications have been allowed. But no longer....

The new Q Class will allow almost any Land Rover to come and compete.

If you've not competed before, then there are events and classes to suit all ages, vehicles and abilities.

It's true grassroots motorsport, events costing in the region of £20 a time. Which makes it comparable price to P&P sites.

And here's another angle on it. Trials events need to be setup, many clubs will do this the day prior to the event. So for the cost of annual membership you can potentially get a days off roading without competing. Again another good option to P&P sites.

So if you have dislocation cones, cranked trailing arms or even a tray back Discovery, why not give trialling a go. It's a lot of fun and challenging and you'll likely learn a lot about driving off road.

    Find your local club today:

    Come and join the fun!

I always say that you learn more driving skills from laying out trials than any amount of P&P or competing.

Chiltern are doing the Nats RTV this year, Anglian CCV and probably Team Recovery.
There is a little Hint that Anglian club want a Team Recovery team or two to have a go at this year too. After my last CCV I'm nowhere near aggressive enough to be giving it a go.

It's time to plunge into comp safari and the Nats seems like a natural choice, I'll make sure I keep out of the fast boys way especially you Owl!!

I am indeed. Ill check that out, cheers.

Think my local club is SROC, run events at Pilgrims Farm and Elham. Not been to Pilgrims Farm before but its 20 mins away from me so thats a bonus. Elham isnt too far either, been there a couple times for P&Ps.

Jai you don't need to worry about getting in my way, I'm not going that fast yet. It would be good to see you entering the National comp. I am entering the Comp this year so you can chase me round.
