so i got inspired buy owl on the forum buy his ALRC comper build and im on building mine so thought i might as-well post up some photos this is a fiew months apart between some of them as i built the chassis and started on it in some and then kept running into problems on the leefer so ended up having to fix it but then ended up in the last fiew weekends got down to it and have rebuilt straightened and sorted the cage and then started on the outer shell to get the first tag sorted i am still unsure on that shocks im wanting to use so cant do the shock towers ( they will end up being foxes cos i know there is a set on one of the other cars in the shed but they are only 10 inch ones for the front and 14 inch for the rear ) right so lets get right into it

Just curious... why did you not continue the front hoop down & use this as the bulkhead fixings?

What engine you going to run?

i started with a 1 pice front hoop but dint put enough rake on it co cut it off also if it gets damaged its easier to replace

the engine i am going to run is going to be a 3 liter BMW 330d diesel as i am uste to the power of a 200 its going to be a slight difference

Good point about cage.
You should/could have this built before the first race of the year?

Like the BMW engine they seem to rev quicker than a LR & diesel is a fun class.

ye its is in the 2019 rules and is over like however many years old its ment to be to use

im planning / hoping for it to be racing at the nationals but just have to wait and see because i am wanting to do a few test ccvs before hand

and y i already have the engine just need to get it in situe and ye i remeber years ago from my grandads l322 with the bm engine felt like a roket ship and it weighed a lot more than the comper will be

the blue and green book are the dictonary and are sat on the shelf and will keep getting refered to
 
todays collection was another 5 alloy rims slowly getting a collection of them together now have 9 alloys and 6 vw t5 steel rims so a couple more alloys and should have enough to race

need alloys 4 and 2 steels for dimonds

need 5 alloys for all terains

need 2 alloys and 3 steels for insa turbos

and should have enough wheels and tries to run on but will just have to weight and see

got round to playing with some body work over the new year so got all of that situated

im now trying to work on shock placement but havent got the correct shocks to do it with so looking for some 12 inch foxes if anyone knows of any
