Since the weather has got hot (last few days), my alarm has started triggering occasionally. Message is RHF door? It's been fine for the past year so presume it's the hot weather that might be causing it?

Edited to add - replaced both driver and passenger door latches a couple of months back.

It's got worse. Alarm going off every five minutes so disconnected battery. Same message, RHF door. I'll take the door card off tomorrow to take a look.

Which RF receiver are you on?

Latest one, upgraded it about 4/5 months ago and no problems till now.

Edited to add: I noticed that locking using the key seemed to trigger the door open message on dash. Remote is ok for five mins then alarm goes off. Can only think that the hot weather is affecting the door latch in some way causing false alerts?

Funny ive the exact problem
It was rhf every now and then, and to clear it i just open and slam door! now its constant but if i open the door and use a screwdriver to flip the stricker catch back allthe way to the locked position and then alittle ferther the warning goes away (but the doors open) so thinking its the microswitch
tryed spraying it full of brake cleaner to shift some of the gunk and its made it alittle better but still get rhf open about 8 out of 10 times
Triggers alarm too but fortunatly the siren dont work lol

It may be the heat is causing a switch internal to expand and trigger the alarm -

I worked on a RR a few years ago - the alarm kept triggering -it turned out to be the bonnet switch had been bent down and when the panel heated it released the switch - triggering the alarm

Check all sensors / switches etc ... it could be summat silly :)

Update :

Got driver's side door latch out today and took it apart to check it. Everything looked ok but lubed all moving parts. Put it back together again but still getting RHF door open message. First time the car is locked from the fob it doesn't alert however after a period of time the alarm goes off as it suddenly thinks it's open. Any ideas?

If the micro switches are OK and not high resistance, check for broken wires between door and A post and also earth connections.

Checked connections on outstation - one of the plugs is gunked up/corroded so I'll clean that up tomorrow and try again. It's the plug with the pink/white wire that controls the door open/close signal.
