Disco 2 Alarm goes off if I leave the window down

Used to think it was flys or something, when I came out of the shop and alarm was sounding, a chap said you've left your window, down, as if that was the cause, never goes off any other time, reason ?
 
Like said, the cabin is protected with volumetric sensors that use ultrasound to detect changes in airflow and pressure. You can temporarily disable the alarm by locking the driver's door with the key.

My apologies in advance for my following rudeness but i can't help myself when i see such indolants who doesnt even take 20 minutes of theyr's life to RTF Ownrer's manual which is a case of common sense. Sorry again
 
No point in arguing, that's why I've not been on asking ANYTHING for years, same keyboard warriors still posting useless replies, if people still had owners manuals under their noses, as the car alarm was going off there would be little point in asking these questions, footnote, easy to see why there are much better informative Facebook groups serving the car community these days,

Simple as that ... if you want to know more about your vehicle download the Owner's handbook cos it's free, only one example by courtesy of a real enthusiast http://www.discovery2.co.uk/handbooks_Etc.html.... though as i said before you'll have to spend about 20 minutes of your life reading it rather than ask stupid questions. Sorry again for my rudeness but IMO you and all others who doesnt read it deserve this kind of persiflage :rolleyes:, from my point of view it's just indolence :

I agree, it's only one idiot in this discussion, the man who doesnt care enough about his own vehicle to read the Owner's handbook... good luck with Facebook, i dont have it at all..

I do sympathise with this point of view, but then my last Disco didn't even come with the tools to operate the jack or take a wheel off. The handbook was long gone. The guy may not even realise the info he wants is in the handbook. so I can kind of see both sides of the argument. But Mr Mac is an active member, at the same level as me so he ought to have some idea!!!! I'll now pretend I don't have a handbook and do a search to see how easy it is to get one, keeping away from this site of course. OK a 2004 handbook turned up in seconds. So amazingly did a workshop manual 1998 onwards. So maybe my attitude has now hardened a bit!

Thanks mate much more informative than that sierra nugget, he has obviously been there since day dot, you can always tell.

He still tries to look smart (arse) aye auld mrs May don't have a look in, there are quite a few harley clubs been ruined by pricks with "read the manual" embedded deep in that tiny mind, anyway if I can delete this I will, it only reappeared, due to someone replying to a six year old post about stolen headlights, i imagine S-nugget also threw his two bobs worth in there, closing note my father was a gentleman, if I was drinking with someone who commented like above, trust me he would be shown the door, and not in a nice way.
 
If the result of my sh*tty attitude will be that you'll RTFM the gain is your's :rolleyes: ... or if you'll just keep being offended without reading it you loose.

Honestly I think SFery was just having a bit of an off moment. He is hugely helpful to all sorts of posters on this and other Landy forums around the world and he has helped me more than once. He is hugely knowledgeable, as are lots of guys on the forum, so much so that I am amazed you have not come across his posts before, cos he posts on most things. His electrical knowledge is large. So, though it obviously upset you a bit, I'd give the guy the benefit of the doubt, swallow your bile and just put it down to experience.
 
I'm fully behind Fery who has provided invaluable help to very many people on this forum. I suggest you (Mackay) retreat to facebook where you can hang out with your pals. You will be no loss to this forum.
