alarm fob

can anyone tell me how to set the fob
ihave tried to but cant get it to work
im at a loss any help will be most rafull

Hi Dan, Model of your disco and type of fob would be a great help... D1 two button.. D2 key need software to programme all you can do is re-synchonize.

its a disci 1 single button fob

Open the bonnet and ask the assistant to hold down the bonnet switch. Either get into the car and close the door, or wind down the window and stand outside.

NOTE: If you vehicle is fitted with a separate immobiliser, switch it off - as if you were going to drive the vehicle.

Instructions 1 to 7 must be done within 8 seconds!

1) Switch ignition ON
2) Switch ignition OFF
3) Lock doors - using sill button (press down)
4) Unlock doors - using sill button (pull up)
5) Release bonnet switch
6) Switch ignition ON
7) Switch ignition OFF

If the alarm is correctly accessed, the horn will sound and the red alarm LED will light and stay on. It is now possible to programme the key fob(s).

NOTE: A maximum of 2 key fobs can be programmed.

Carry out instructions 8 - 10 within 2 minutes.

Press and HOLD down button on the first key fob until the alarm LED flashes a few times
9) repeat instruction 8 for the second key fob
10) The alarm LED will go out if both key fobs have been installed correctly

NOTE: If only one key fob is programmed, after instruction 8 turn the ignition ON and OFF to finalise the programming.S.C.O.F.

You are missing a bit..........5 and 6 has to be done again between 7 and 8.

And it does work on a 300 TDi, I have done it several times.



IE.



1. Starting conditions: ignition off, doors unlocked,
bonnet switch depressed.
2. Carry out instructions 3. to 9. within 8 seconds.
3. Switch ignition ON.
4. Switch ignition OFF.
5. Lock doors.
6. Unlock doors.
7. Release bonnet switch.
8.Lock doors.
9. Unlock doors
10. Switch ignition ON.
11. Switch ignition OFF.

now I'm confused... I thought this wouldn't work on a 300tdi two button for... or did some 300's come with a one button fob ?

some 300s came with a one button fob.............mine did, 1995 M plate that is when they changed, (I think)
