Had a problem with my immobiliser/alarm on my disco 300tdi. Solved now using the 4 digit code bypass. The problem is when I come to lock the door with the key, the immobiliser/alarm re-initiates! and I have to go through the bypass procedure again - how do I bypass it and keep it bypassed?

Thanks in advance.

My remotes just stopped working the other day. They won't lock or unlock the vehicle. Have swapped for new batteries and still no joy - any ideas?

Simple things first, did you synchronize the fobs with the alarm after replacing the fobs batteries, has the alarm fuse blown, unlikly unless you have your hands in the area under the glove box but check in the fuse box, and do the indicators flash but the doors don't unlock or is it nothing from the fob.

I have seen it mentioned if the forum that if you disconnect and reconnect the vehicle battery and then sync the fob helps, but I don't know what or how on that one.

Not so simple, fobs can loose their tune but doughtful if both fobs are the same.

To bypass the immobiliser you can buy an LR part called "spider bypass plug".

It costs about £5 just plugs into the spider box in the dashboard.

Thanks - sorted now - anyone know where I can get a cheap version of the injector return pipes from - I live in France.

Just 1 thing to check ref your alarm mate. take the fob apart as if to replace the battery and check that the solder is not broken on the battery case. there are 3 prongs that are soldered to the board. if any are broken get the soldering iron out and blob them over. it happenend to me and it took me 48 hours to find this bloody annoying fault and 10 seconds to solve it.
