Aircon twin fans - 1 not working

Anyone know if both fans spin at same time or does second one only come on when its needed ?

Aircon wasnt working today checked the fuses and found it had blown

Aircon works better now except that I notice only 1 of the aircon fans in front of the rad is turning (passenger side fan).

Gave the other fan a push and it spins freely enough so guessing its not stuck with any crud.

Both fans have live feed at them

given todays temps i reckon its needed both

Nope, both fans rotate together, you need to check the electrical supply to the fan that doesn't and also the motors electrical continuity.

thanx for the reply both fans have a supply going to them where the wires go into the fan.

Cant get the fan out right now as screws have 16 years of crap corroded up the slots and dam winch and auto box coller is in the way

Genuine part is daft money and doesnt seem to be any non OME ones either. Guess its a visit to the scrappy

I guess it needs to come out to check the motors electrical continuity ?

You only need to get to the plug/socket of the motorand unplug to isolate and then test with a meter so hopefully the fan doesn't need to be touched to do the test..
