Is there a pressure relief valve in the aircon? When its cooling on a warm day, it does this loud PSHHT sound a couple of times at the start of each trip.

There is but it shouldn't be venting unless there is an issue. Try the thermostatic expansion valve on the passenger side of the bulkhead. Should cost about £30 to replace. Easy enough to fit (system should be drained first) although access is a bit tight. I ordered the part, got the garage to drain it, swapped the part over in the yard and then got them to refill it.

Sorry, not off the top of my head and the link I had saved is dead. Not sure if it is different across years either. There's a link to that Russian Microcat site somewhere on here, that might help.

Pretty sure. The aircon has been out of action with no gas for ages, and we just had it refilled. The psstt started after the refill. I also remember it doing it before the gas ran out last year.

So, on balance I think this is it.

Also, EAS working perfectly :)

The EAS will make that sound as the compressor stops and high pressure air is released to atmosphere. That is quite normal.
