Hi all, don't post a lot on here but do enjoy reading some of the banter....

I have an l322 with torn front right air bag on the suspension, obvs needs sorting! Question is do I look at a pair of new legs (the missus better not find out!!!) or do I "save" myself a couple hundred or so and repair with replacement bag kits?

Sounds a no brainer but I'm uncertain as to how good these kits actually are. Does anyone on here have experience with them?

LR do a replacement bag, they are around £200 plus vat, you have the hassle of fitting it and still have a used shock absorber. For around £200-£250 ish you can get a complete strut. People say the Dunlop ones have a clunk over bumps, I've got a pair of Delphi units on mine, they were both nearer £250 but that was a couple of years ago.

There was a post a few months back about this.

Somebody posted up a company called, from poor memory.... "airsus". (maybe wrong?)
They do just bags or whole strut for quite a cheap price, but you need a discount code or something to really benefit.

My thoughts at the time regarding whole strut for cheap money was they probably use a low quality unbranded shock absorber, where as your own shock might be aok and OEM.

Anyway, look them up.

Hi Binny,

Just catching up on posts and wanted to say that I spent a few minutes crawling around the car with an ear in each wheel arch to find a pin hole leak in the front air bag. My local 4x4 specialist replaced the one strut complete with a Dunlop unit and cured all my EAS issues.

Good luck with your quest.

Tricky.
