does any one know what the black cylinder that the air lines pass through is for. the main intake seems to come from the rear and pass through this cylinder then to the compressor.

also do all compressore s have an exhuast vavle as mine has not got one.

that "keg" is a kind of a damper

they all must have an electric(solenoid) exhaust valve(nr.9) cos that's what releases the air to lower the vehicle commanded by the ECU...there is a pressure limiting(mechanic) valve(nr.6) there which might be bypassed ... and it's there to protect the bags from blowing in case of overinflation caused by bad management

cheers. the reason i wanted to know is my disco has been converted to springs and i wanted to reove the damper now I know i can. as for the compressor i was going to sell it but noticed the exhaust solinoide missing. so i will have to mention this when selling.
