Air suspension woes!!!

Hi all, just had the disco 2 in the garage for new front calipers and it's come out with the rear air suspension low. I have tried to lift using the lift button on the dash but it just beeps at me. I had new air bags a year ago and filter changes, so I don't think it's them, so could the garage have caught something or is it "one of those things" that just happens when you go to the garage. Can anyone advise me before I go mad!!!

you need to press and hold that orm switch and close all doors for it to lift

I have made sure all doors were shut and held the orm switch but it just beeps like when the doors are open....

as long as it's lower than normal not the ORM switch is the cure, this one will work only from normal height, the mechanics might have disturbed the sensors and now it's decalibrated?, first of all check fusible link FL9 in engine bay and swap relay R5(sls) with R3(headlamp wash) for test

if the rear is lower than normal the compressor must kick in to relevel when you start the engine

by the way dont you get a misslock warning when you lock with the fob?(presuming that it's not disabled)... you can check by leaving a door or bonnet open and lock ...if you hear a short horn sound the misslock warning is enabled...then if you hear it with everything closed it means that a door switch(part of the latch assy) doesnt work and this will stop the compressor from pumping... the bonnet doesnt affect that

the easyest way is to hook to a tester and run circuit tests on SLS components

Wouldn't the easiest, and ideally first point of action be to take it back to the garage and ask them to look at the fault they appear to have triggered?

Thanks all, it's amazing that when I took it back to the garage he said it couldn't be his fault because he only lifted it on his lifter to change the calipers on the front so he couldn't have caused the problem. He left my other half with the excuse that he recalibrated it and even though the right hand side was normal and the left hand side was at its highest, this was safe to drive. Quess he's going to have it this morning!!!

yes, but if he lifted it within 1.5 hours after the ignition was off without disconnecting the battery it's entirely his fault cos that's why the system is decalibrated as the SLS was still active and got unexpected inputs from the sensors... as the engine was not running the compressor didnt pump inspite of the fact that the system could have expected that... and so on, so the SLS got mixed up... it's almost 100% certain now that you need a recalibration...and the guy has no ideea how the SLS works if he didnt disconnect the battery

After taking it back to the garage again, and telling him that when he had it on the ramps he could have inadvertently foxed the srs, he then told me that I couldn't be right as he had recalibrated all four corners. After telling him that it isn't a Range Rover and it only has air bags on the back he took it off me and hey presto 2 hours later it came back with no problems, go figure! Thanks for all your help, that little bit of knowledge came in really usefull.

One pleased Landy owner that now has not got her indoors moaning anymore!!!
