Air suspension prob i can find no info on

my d2 keeps pulling it’s pants down and sitting on the bump stops. Could be good for days or weeks then it goes down with no raising action, maybe if I leave it till the next day it will raise , weird!! Air bags are fine , compressor fine, valve block fine, ride height sensors new . Lh ride height sensor “count” reading seems to freeze , let’s say 32 and moving it up and down does nothing, swapped sensors over and sensor works fine on the otherside . I’m going to by a new connector and wire LH sensor with new cable straight to the slabs plug, then I can rule out the connector and wiring. my question is have the ecu’s been known to play up?
 
First off, how do you know that as you say the "Air bags are fine"?

The first place to go to look for problems with the SLS is the bags. Believe me, they can and will play tricks on the unwary. You can spray all the soapy water in the world at them and they won't leak, but as soon as you turn your back, they'll leak.

Before you go diving too deep into trying to sort the SLS I would recommend that you replace the air bags, if you haven't done so very recently. I would expect a set of bags to last something like 5 years or so.
 
It’s not the “air bags”. Is there anyone here who knows a bit about any known ecu issues? Like i said Lh ride height sensor freezes even swapping for a known working one , indicates an issue with the connector, wiring or Ecu.
 
When I say I can find no info , I’ll spend ages reading similar post and then they never say what the final outcome was .
 
So anyway I’m sure someone else will stumble across this post and will need the solution. After trailing through probably hundreds of threads about air suspension you’ll find loads of people who have changed their airbags (easiest job in the world ) who then bang on about leaky air bags being the answer and assume you’re not bright enough to diagnose whether a bladder full of air is leaking whilst a couple tons of motor sit on top of it . I offer this advice, air suspension is a simple system but if you don’t suspect air bags you’ll need to plug in diagnostics just so you can see what the electrical aspect of the air suspension are up to . I discovered that the wiring from a ride height sensor was intermittently failing and sending the sensor output out of range . New connector and rewire back to the ecu fixed the problem , yes a lot of issues are, as they say "leaky airbags" related but certainly not all

I would also add, don’t rip air susp out and change to springs, it is fixable !! If you want to keep it.

How did you define the issue and the solution?

Issue, car with non leaky air bags as mentioned , working compressor and valve block and working ride height sensors sitting on its ass. Points to, with the help of diagnostics ,wiring issue or ecu fault. Process of elimnation and easy job, changed the wiring for new on the diagnosed known side (ride height sensor output out of range ) all the way back to the ecu, solution.
