OK, drivers side rear air bag changed. Followed the how to guide. Kept car on jack as system pressurised, dropped jack and drivers rear dropped down onto its stops!!!!

lifted and lowered a few times and seemed to sort itself out, but is lower on the drivers side.....AARRHHHHHHHH

Hopefully it will hold pressure over night:confused::confused:

HELP!!

How di I recalibrate??

It should not be necessary to re-calibrate after an airbag change as the ECU we re-inflate the airbags to the height dictated by the sensors which should not have been touched.

If the replacement airbag is fully inflated, the car should not have dropped to the bump stops.

Its not on the bump stops now. But is lower on the drivers side 25mm - 50mm and is noticable.

Data is correct you shouldn't HAVE TO but changin my bags has caused mine to "Sit lopsided" ....(As you can see from my post above) & after talkin to an LR Tech he told me James Edwards (LR Preston) ALWAYS re-calibrate when fitting new bags............& they do it on a "Lift Ramp" (coz they KNOW thats spot on level....)

Got cables on order, I am assuming that I can just adjust the range of the drivers side to bring it up level??

I read SOMEWHERE what the "Correct" heights SHOULD BE.....(Might be in a post from Storey Wilson) ..... I'll try & dig it out this afto!!!

Its either seeking out this info or DOIN THE GARDEN!!!! ....

To Wife....>>> " Oh Sorry luv I've gotta help a mate out on the forum I won't be long ....HONEST"

Ok I found it already ..... Don't you dare tell the Mrs's!!!!

With testbook the calibration procedure for P38A requires blocks to sit under the bump stops to measure heights. For classic, or P38A with Rovacom you need a tape measure. In both cases the vehicle needs to be on a level surface. The height should be as follows:
Mode Height Offset from Standard
Access 730mm +- 7mm -60mm
Low Profile 770mm +- 7mm -20mm
Standard 790mm +- 7mm 0
High Profile 830mm +- 7mm +40mm
Extended Profile 850mm -7mm/+17mm +60-70mm

These heights are for P38A and measured to the center of the wheelarch from the Landy Badge at the wheel centre with new tyres. The factory fit Pirelli Scorpion has 11mm of tread when new. You may like to correct for this by checking tyre tread.

& NOBODY noticed todays deliberate mistake 790mm FROM THE WHEEL CENTRE!!!... YEAH RIGHT ...... I actually ment 790mm FROM THE FLOOR!!!!

You'd need a god damned rope ladder to get in!!!!! I'll go & sit on the naughty step now & think about what I've done !!!!:eek::eek::eek:

Thanks for the help, but if once I get the value they seem right, but I still have a drop, can I not change the setting until it is level???

Yes Of course you can "Adjust as necessary" just make sure your a level ground.... Thats my problem when the previous owner of mine re-calibrated he did it at the roadside & the road camber was Horrific!!

If I park at the roadside mine looks perfect ... if I park on level ground I'm 25 mm out..

UPDATE:
Took her out for a run tonight, by the time I got back all seems level, hopefully it will stay that way, but I will have the cables and software just in case......
