Range Rover L322 2003, 4.4L Vogue LPG

Message Centre - "Air Suspension Inactive"

I have trawled through the posts on this subject but to no avail!

My compressor has been fitted to the car using a Preston Air mounting bracked designed for LPG Vehicles. I believe the compressor is the standard Landrover/WABCO compressor but because of the configuration it has been removed from the Landrover Housing.

Q1. Is there a servicing kit for the compressor. I have contacted WABCO and they do not make such a kit. Is there an aftermarket servicing kit supplier?

Q2. Is there any way to test the compressor for correct opperation other that putting it on the testbook?

Q3. The compressor has a selection device for L, M or H. I am taking a guess at this means Low, Medium and High. What setting should it be on?

Q4. Does anyone have any technical detail about this comressor? Servicing, maintenance and repair etc.

Never seen one, but that is not to say there isn't one - try trolling fleabay for something.

Q2. Is there any way to test the compressor for correct opperation other that putting it on the testbook?

You could use the Faultmate Extreme, Autologic, Nanocom Evolution et al - also for a more basic setup bridge the power contacts on the pump to a 12v power source - download the RAVE manuals for the circuit diagram to get the correct connections....

Having read my version of RAVE, It makes no reference to this selection switch...so couldn't comment

No....you could try and get this from WABCO

Could be the compressor on its way out
Either way you need to reset the faults to get the compressor back on and running.
I cleared mine and it hasn't played up since.
Is your suspension panel lit up ? Or locked off with the orange light ?

SaintV8: I tried WABCO but they were not much help at all!

2.0 Hippo: I have had the fault cleared twice. This is the reason for me looking into it in a bit more depth. Its locked out and the orange light for the ordinary roads is lit up. Clearing the faults with the test book will sort it temporarily.

The odd thing is that the compressor seems to run normally. Runs for 2 seconds or so at start up then switches off. Whilst driving it will come on from time to time.
