Just invested in a Lynx diagnostic system. Apart from the manual not giving the correct info to get it installed properly, it seems to do the job.
Connected to the D2 to get rid of the 3 amigos after changing the worn out hub. that bits OK.
It also informed me of a series of faults with the compressor and the ride height sensors and it won't clear those faults.
The only problem is my Disco does not and never has had air suspension. This came up before with a local specialist who had a look underneath and confirmed it.

Any thoughts?

are you sure about the air sus.it is a common mod to replace the air sus with springs etc when it goes wrong.i am in the process of having this done to my td5.if that is the case then it still might be logged in the ecu as having air suspension.

I got a hawkeye for my td5 disco.
the other day I used the hawkeye to help out a fellow member with a td5 defender.
lots of faults came up, i,e, aircon. he said his defender did not have aircon.
so maybe the hawkeye just looks for every thing that the td5 has, unless told otherwise, i,e, by telling the bcu/ecu that its not there.
just a guess.

No idea why you would want to change from air to springs, air suspension easy to maintain / fix, looks after itself irrespective of what you have hitched on and you don't need to do battle with the insurance company especially if it's a 7 seater.
