Hi,

I have had troubles with my air suspension since I bought the car.

It sits at normal ride height, but is inactive. I have tried to delete the fault codes (which reads something like to high temp out of compressor/sensor).

After deleting the fault codes everything worked perfectly. Drove 300 km without trouble. Next day the message was back.

I tried changing the piston with the kit from BagpipingAndy. Deleting fault codes again. This time it worked for 3-4 days. Then back at air. susp inactive.

The compressor was changed to a brand new one in 2009 and havent been driven more than 30.000 km.

Any tricks up your sleeves, masterminds?

Usually overheat means worn piston or a leak in the system causing the pump to work overtime which results in an overheat of the pump

If it sits at normal height but is inactive, I take it that the suspension lock button isn't pushed to lock ? Sorry just seen that it is an L322 but I'm assuming that it can be locked for towing

+1 L322 automatically locks when the trailer electrics are connected, and is lockable by the push button on the selector/ changer.
If the Pump is getting hot I'll go with the others and advise that you get the soapy water out and have a good look around.
Lastly is this the only message that comes up - ours is sending out a few due to lack of use , which disappear once the voltage in the battery goes up.

The compressor was water damaged. My mechanic took it out and put in a refurbished one for a small sum. Now it works perfect again.
