Not going up or down, the light on the dash is just flashing, the pump is working fine, seems (to me) an electrical thing, any suggestions please? im off to work now, doing nights, so i wont see this until the morning, although its Sunday, i expect you to swat up and find out what is wrong with it upon my return....... and it had better be a cheap fix or you will fell my wrath!! thanks chaps :)

Look through my posts for how to check for good air from compressor and how to check diaphram valve i ain't bloody typing it all out again.

As Wammers said do a search. Either you have a major leak or the compressor is not making any pressure.
 
Take the filter off the pump and stick your finger over the hole if it gives good suction then pump is not the prob . I would have to say you may have a leak in your air lines or springs . I had same prob I had leak in airspring , replaced it yesterday and no more problem up and down when ever I want .
 
Sounds like the problem I had. Pump seemed to be working fine - took off the air pipe and was surprised at how little pressure was there.

Took pump to pieces (quite simple) and saw all the scoring on the piston ring and worn/knackered seal. Bought replacement bits off ebay (yes - EBAY!) and fitted. Works lovely. Total cost about £22.00 inc p&p.

Even when it was working fine, I was still quite amazed at how low the pressure was. Not quite sure what I expected but I thought it would be a lot more to raise a big ol beast of a truck!
 
wammers I cant find your post,( can you give me a link?) i did take the filter off already, and stuck my finger over the hole and it is drawing air into it OK, (well it seems like its sucking as it should ((i will ask the wife about that))) the lines.... where you get them from on ebay and the other stuff? Ta mucho

Bloody hell wish they would set up a dedicated quick link. Ok remove blue pipe from compressor, with compressor running push thumb over outlet, thumb should be blown off, you should not be able to stop air. If so compressor ok. Replace pipe. Remove exhaust filter, to rear of valve block inside facing engine. With compressor running place finger over out let. Air coming out odds on diaphragm fooked.

If you were asking me what I bought, it's here: -

symlise | eBay

1 x New Cylinder Liner, 1 x New Piston Seal and Filter. (Top item offered).

It was worth a gamble as opposed to spending a minimum of £100 on a recon pump.

You should be able to see quite a bit of scoring on your old liner and consequently your piston seal will be knackered.
 
Ok spot on, orders it from ebay, will do it next sat when im off work, any tips for doing this????

Get a brand new 1/4" allen key
The sharpest blade that you can find to separate the crown from the piston
emery cloth to clean up the scratches that you likely to leave from using the blade, I certainly did the first time.

The actual job is a POP.

What part of the compressor does a 1/4" Allen key fit. Surely you mean 1/8"?

missing from previous thread - Then you file it down, very accurately, to 1/8"

then you feel very glad that LandyZone doesn't have video so that everyone could see your red face.

Hiya, we just had to replace the compressor on our 05 RRSport because of faulty air suspension, it kept motoring up and down on its own, quite disconcerting if not downright dangerous. Sorry, £350 +.:D Computer had to be rebooted too.
