Im thinking about getting a set due to the **** poor horns usually found on older landrovers, So i figured I'd sort out a system compromising of a small air tank to run them which would be situated in the back of the landrover,
I did think about using one of those small lager barrels but that might have pressure issues due to the wall thickness,

I also need some help wiring it all up so if you have info please let me know, what sort of compressor would i need and any electrical knowledge from someone would be appreciated.

cheers

you can get air horns that have no tank just a small pump attatched, i had a set on a n orion when i was a sad teenage boy racer, just a couple of years ago.
You would probably find some in halfords. ( didnt want to say it too loud, dont want people thiking i go there)

i dont know but i just saw this 20oz cylinder on ebay
which would be ideal as the tank as it was used for Co2 for paintball.
might be able to get it for about £15

Twenty quid from any motor factor's place.

Compressor, wires, relay, hoses, at least two smart red trumpets and
VERY LOUD!

yes, i have seen them but i have a 55cm truck horn which will be mounted on the cab of the landy, just need a decent tank cause those normall compressors just aint gonna cut it,
i will be getting some diamond plate soon for the interior mod, Treworgey

Errr... did you play the 'sound sample' on the e-bay link? Bet the truck horn ain't that loud!

no, it probably wont be, but i aint spending shed loads of cash on a stupid horn,
i just need one louder than the original landrover horn, but those small compressors fade if used with anything larger than the standard ****ty red ones knocking about for £20

hence sorting out an air tank to go inline.
