I heard that the injector pump is the same on the fly by wire 300tdi and the pre fly by wire 300tdi (in my series), just that the fly by wire one has servo motors controlling the linkages, is this true?
Can a fly by wire engine be easily converted to oldy fashioned cable throttle without the electronics.
Are the parts transferable, injectors etc.
Non electronic variants are now getting scarce, was thinking what to look out for if I need a spare motor.
I could fit all the gizmo's on the later electronic version, thats ok for me, but getting an engine all intact with the gizmo's is gonna be expensive from a breakers, then theres all the wiring up to do.
