Air filter panel... Help needed!

So I've bought a Disco 1 that has been modified ten years ago.

I'm working my way through ironing out some mechanical issues, and all us going well. But I can't find a replacement filter for the life of me.

It's 35mm thick with a square edge, and 135x365mm OD.

Does this ring any bells?

Looks homebrew - does that connect to a snorkel?

Yep, snorkel tube feeds into the sealed box.

The filter looks as It could be washed, dried and reused, anyway loads of panel filter suppliers on the www, as u have the size just find one that will be suitable. Simples.

Yeah... You'd have thought so.

K&N, Ramair, ITG, all say they have never seen anything like it.

Now my thought was, this chap who built it, probably used that panel thinking he could easily source replacements in South Africa. So perhaps a tractor part?

I suppose it's too much to hope he's contactable, and ask him what it came off?

Yarp. He's long since left the UK.

Have a word with these people, the may be able to help u with a replacement or alternative.
