I have a 300TDI fitted in a 1988 defender. I bought it like that, and it didnt have a air filter fitted. I've fitted a filter on the top of the snorkel (K&N style one), and and small breather pipe filter on the end of the breather pipe. Is it worth making a catch can for the breather and will the filter on the snorkel work ok that way?

Not have a defender before so any help would be good, thanks.

I dont like the idea of the k+n type on the snorkel as its going to catch all the crap going.
Dont know how it would cope with snow?

It didnt cross my mind till today, but in heavy rain water will get down the snorkel with the filter on top. Think i trip to the scrap yard at the weekend is in order lol
