Hi. My 2005 FL1 Td4, air-cooler from the Turbo needs cleaning-out and wonder if anyone has a simple method of doing so? There is one method of removing the bumper, etc, to remove it, but might there be an easier method?
The reason? My turbo, which is about to replaced - tomorrow, has been leaking oil into the air-flow and I suspect the cooling box is badly contaminated.

Hi,

The intercooler should be clunked with a lot of oil, even if the turbo is in good condition.
You need to remove it to clean it, but you can't get it clean as a new one ...
The only problem you should by not cleaning it, is having less engine performance.
