hi guys had the air con re-gassed last month its been fine, however, I've noticed today that of the four vents across the dash the drivers centre vent is not as cold as the others ? anyone know of a solution please

There is an individual Temp control for the centre two vents....little thumbwheel under the Hazard and Door Lock switch...ensure this is turned to the cold area...

If it already is turned to the blue....it could be the cable that this thumb wheel connects to has come adrift....

had the aircon re gassed again today and alls fine for the moment I suppose that it eliminates things . im told that it is possible for the gas to boil away can anyone confirm this

apparently the machine that fills and creates a vacuum can tell a smallest leak. and im told it was fine?

so continuing with my problem of two years aircon looses gas i have today fitted a new condenser which was a pretty easy job the only slight difficulty was getting the align pins from the old condenser (used a blow torch) and getting them in the new condense (henry paper and put them in the freezer for 1 hour) took it to in n out for a regas it tested fine filled up and was checked for leaks (they use a dye) apparently you can see the dye with special glasses and ultra violet light. the reason i took it to in n out they offer a six month warrantee on regassing. the old condenser was in good condition to my eyes so i will have to wait to see if its cured???

My system was checked for leaks and given the ok twice and then leaked out twice but has been fine since replacing the condenser

Fingers crossed then, i never managed to get those pins out you mentioned, i chopped off a couple of drill bit ends with my dremel and used them

very good possibility you could have a faulty heater control valve, i've just ordered a new one, the last one i fitted was used, funnily both failed on passenger side, when they fail you will get cold air drivers side and warmer air passenger side, my first one was pumping out full temp air constantly to passenger side.

possibility kev but im leaning towards leak as when all the gas had gone it was warm both sides and when re gassed cold both sides. im thinking when one hot and the other cold was there was only low pressure from the gas. it wasnt long after the differential in temp each side that the air con was only warm

that is also possible not sure if the aircon is separate on both sides, the heater control valves are quite common as they are not the best design, they only have a rubber diaphragm to stop water ingress into the solenoids and these fail causing water to pass
