Air Con Question

Hi all. I've just got a 2000 (V-reg) TD5 XS. I'm a bit new to discoveries so please bare with me. I may be niave here but would it be possible to replace the twin dial (cold to hot) air con control unit on the dash board with a replacement digital climate control out of a TD5 of the same year? (can you tell I'm not too technically minded) any usefull advice / suggestions greatly appreciated thanks!

Sure you can.. but it wont work without all the other gubbins ie. motorised valves and temp sensors that are located behind the dash and up on the windscreen.
