Air/con help on very late p38a

:blabla:hi guy in need of a aircon rad as my one is u/s, the thing is landrover made the front end of the p38a, smaller for the new aircon rad in the late 2001,so the stc3679 will not fit to big, the size of the 1 i have is 24 by 15 by 1 inch, can someone help or can i make the stc3679 fit again,as i no the pipe will have to be replaced, as i have a new stc3679 in the shed, any help will be great, nick :doh:

I had the same problem when first got my Rangie and wanted to get everything up to snuff.
As you do I got a chap round (who I'd used before) and he checked the system to see if all it needed was a top up, Fat chance..........
When he came back the next day with a new rad and a confident look on his face, well that was soon gone :doh:
Anyway he stood there wondering how he was going to tell me the bad news and made a few phone calls and told me that the later P38's
like you say have a smaller rad and can omly be bought from Land Rover direct at the princely sum of £500+ :jaw:
then he had a brain wave, he took the rad out and took it to a chap he knows who's a dab hand with a TIG welder (as the rad is all alloy, no plastic) Well one year on all's well!!!

I'm not sure but I think it's got a slightly bigger intercooler, if I'm wrong someone will put me right! ;-)
