Hi Guys

Thanks to assistance from GEMSDAD a couple of weeks ago (in the week of high temp weather) I successfully fitted a PSI Powerbox to my 2000 P38 - and what a difference it makes (the relevance of this later).
A couple of days later, went off to Cornwall.
As soon as we set off it turned chilly (as it does!) couldn't increase heat in climate control then noticed there was a message on screen saying Air Con fault and consult manual. Of course Manual just says take it to dealer. The fault: The cooling works but no heat unless turn both sides to "Hi" in which case get heat, but only to passenger side, still cold the drivers side. This on auto or manual control. The little buttons along the bottom which can be used to change direction of air flow all appear to work. No fuses appear to have blown. My questions are: Any idea what has happened to air con and, although I can't see how, is there any way the problem can be connected to the fitting of the powerbox?
Thanks for any help you can give

Nice to see appreciation...
Doubt very much if the Powerbox has anything to do with your problem. Sounds very much like the drivers side blend motor has stuck or is shot....plenty of info if you do a search on here "Blend Motors" or have a look on Range Rovers . You could try moving the temperature control on the drivers side from Lo to Hi a few times, if it's stuck, it may free it. Or if you know anyone with Rovacom or Autologic, they can try driving the motor with their software and also confirm the fault.

Thanks for info chaps. I have been looking at the threads on Blend Motors which I knew nothing about before! The thing is, there is no variation in air temp (always cold) from driver or passenger side unless on "Hi" then I do get hot air but only from passenger side - so I think there must be a fault both sides. Is this likely to be the Blend Motor do you think?

Cheers - Rob

Will look at HEVAC plug tomorow after first trying the very easy things - turning ignition on and off very quickly a few times which seems to work by clearing the fault for some - and also clicking temp from low to high and back a few times see if that will clear anything. Will report later

Thanks again for advice - Rob

I have just tried this switching ignition on and off quickly and fault did appear to go (Picture of manual no longer there) but came back after 2 minutes and won't go away now. Tried going up and down the temperature form hi to low and back, both sides, but no improvement.

Then tried, without engine running, ignition on. I can here motors each time I alter temp, both sides, and I can here them when I change the air flow with all the buttons along the bottom and when I switch air con off and back on and when I press the circuation button (below Air Con on/off).

I am questioning HEVAC now - but can't see how get it out! Any help please?
