If you're that concerned about compressor failure why don't you just carry a spare compressor. Swapping compressors is a much simpler road side repair.

Just tuck it into the side of the boot alongside the spare valve block and, at least, one spare front and one rear air bag. Don't forget the clips, and maybe some pipe and a couple of connectors and some colletts and a few O rings.

I've got spare pipe and a complete v block kit if ever needed eek that wil do I had all new air bags well fronts backs look like they were change when I got it :)

Yea, I've got a spare pump and valve block with driver in the garage. I picked them both up for pennies then refurbished them. If I have issues on the road then I've got the RAC to get me home. However the spares have come in handy a couple of times proving faults on other Rangies.

And of course lap top and EASunlock disc just in case the programme loaded on the laptop is corrupt. Spare laptop battery and a blanket and pillow if everything goes tits up. :D:D:D

:hysterically_laughi:hysterically_laughiAnd to be absolutely sure of getting home you could always tow a Smart Car on an A frame behind your P38:rolleyes:

Nah, surely that would put more strain on the EAS and therefore increase the likelyhood of failure at least tenfold - fold up monkey bike in the back has to be the way to go (with the seats down so as to get the weight as central as possible) :D:D:D

For what it's worth would it not be easier to tow one of these ? should be able to cope with 150ish psi :D

I always carry a seperate and high delivery 12v compressor in the car, was expensive but worth it. Can inflate a flat tyre in a few minutes, or top up if needed especially on long trips. If, out in the wilds, I had an EAS electrical problem and had to fit emergency shrader valves then I can inflate the suspension air bags. Loads of other uses also.
