Hi all.

I've got a problem. Loss if power and die. I noticed that there are air bubbles in a clear section of line going into and out of the fuel filter.

Does this suggest a problem with the pump or could it be fuel lines.

Cheers

Ole

The fuel lift pump cannot pump air it is not possible. However if the lift pump is duff fuel is sucked from the tank by the injector pump and air can be drawn in usually at the O'rings on the filter. Look in "How to" section for how to check fuel lift pump for function and flow rate. Loss of power specially on hills is classic of lift pump failure.

PS You may also like to check the spill pipes for leaks. You cannot get air into the clear pipe from there but you can get air into the top of the injection pump.
