P38A Air bag

Just put all air bag connectors back under the seat reconnect battery and getting code 008 drivers air bag open circuit permanent what’s this mean before I get a face full of air bag cheers

Broken wire or corroded connector not making contact. The side airbags will be well out of date, I removed mine and fitted resistors to fool the ECU into thinking they are still there

I’ve I new how to do that I probably would but not good with electrics

just buy some of these and put in the connections like @Datatek said it fools the ecu

Yes the airbags will be past their best before date, but so what? Why take them out?
At worst they don't do anything, at best they work as intended. Is there a down side?

Might just go off while driving. I think that is unlikely but no-one has had airbags this long before so it is untested. Mine's older than yours though. I will let you know when a pillow explodes in my face or check the obituary column.

Never heard of an old airbag going off on its own.
As far as i know, the charge doesn't go unstable through age, though might misfire like a damp squib

Wrong resistance value for the side airbags, I found it needed 1.5 ohms to work.

Two 3 ohm resistors connected in parallel = 1.5 ohms

So I could use one in each seat I’m lost the language your talking data may as well be talking to a house brick when it comes to electricity I’ve downloaded pages of diagrams of becm to drivers seat outstation been looking at them and still none the wiser I swear the dog sitting next to me on the couch understood them more than me
