Hi Guys. How hard is it to change the air bag ring, as mine keeps telling me I have an air bag fault and now the horn and cruise control has stopped working, so as it all goes through that I think it may have packed up. Ideas please. Thanks.

The rotary coupler is quite easy to replace. Steering wheel off, plastics off and you can see it. I can't remember what came next, it's an age thing:( but I do remember it was easy.:)

30 minutes at least to allow for power downage... Are you 100% sure it's the clockspring? o_O;)
Hi Mark, I would say so as my cruise control has stopped working and now the horn has stopped as well, checked all relays and fuses and all ok,so it must be the rotary coupler that's all that's left.. I hope, LOL.

Fair point but you have also checked with tool diagnostic, itay he pedantic but I'd have to varify it in the garage for a client before any money is spent but if your sure then your sure. ;)

Hi Guys, changed the rotary cuppler and low and behold everything started working again, except my cruise control so it looks like something else is at fault with that, but Thank you for your help in this matter.:).

The cruise control works on vacuum and there is a small hose that goes from the brake peddle switch to the unit in the engine bay control unit and is know to perish, most replace the hose all the way through,
so check that is ok

Done all that with a new silicone hose, it was all working then it stopped just before the routery cuppler pack up, so I thought it was that, no so it must be something else.
