Hi, recently joined the group and after a lot of searching can't find a definitive answer.
I have a 2006 Freelander that had a minor bump but enough to set off the the driver & passenger air bag along with front seat belt pre tensioners.
Can someone who knows rather than thinks confirm that all the parts I need including SRS ECU and clock spring all need to come from the same vehicle so that they work with the new ECU.

Thank you in advance

You'll need the air bags and belt pretensioners. You'll also need the airbag module, as it's a one way deal, unless you can erase the crash status from it, which isn't easy.

The clock spring and wiring is also suggested to be replaced, but I can't see a reason why it needs replacing myself, but LR would have to play safe.;)

Cheaper to buy an ECU than have the data erased. The clock spring cable melted and when I carefully tried to remove the electrical connector in the back of the steering wheel air bag it broke. It had melted itself to the terminals.
I know all the parts I need, can you confirm that they must all come from the same donor vehicle to match the SRS ECU

That's interesting. I've never seen a clock spring get damaged by the airbag detonation, but it's obviously why LR suggest it's replaced.

All the parts need to come from a similar year vehicle, but not necessarily from the exact same vehicle.
