Am looking for a new set of alloys for an L322 and just thought it probably weighs twice that of a normal car, so are there any problems with cheaper alloys and the excessive weigh of the RR's? Pattern/replica overfinch alloys are half the price of originals, is it a case of you get what you pay for?

Cheers in advance

You always get what you pay for, however it depends what you do with your RR. If you are talking about cruising around Kensington then fake alloys probably won't break. If you are doing hardcore offroading then maybe you will have problems, but then why would you offroad with 22" skinny tyred wheels anyway!?

Some replica retailers say that they test to the same standard as the major players and xray alloys etc for cracks, just try to find out who you are actually buying from if you are going to do it and look for a part warranty/guarantee.

I haven't personnally heard of anyone having dramas with replica rims, but maybe someone else on here might be able to add more.

cheers voguely, and your right i wont be off roading in it with them wheels on it.....

just wanting to be sure and not have some cheap thing made in china disentigrate on me at 70mph
