Please don't shoot me down straight away, I have done a search but maybe not using right search words.

I do not have a remote fob for my truck and the led under the dash does not always light when I lock with the key. So my thoughts were the remote/alarm system probably does not work properly. I am not overly bothered about the alarm but, being an old and lazy git, would like remote locking! A pal has given me an after market remote locking system which I would like to fit. However the instructions with it are, to say the least, vague.

I know/believe that all I have to do is connect to the drivers door actuator but which wire goes where? The instructions show two wires to the actuator but does it matter which way round I connect to the two actuator wires?

I have seen a thread somewhere about this but can't find it.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Peter

For remote locking you will need an ecu that will operate the master actuator in the drivers door which in turn or will operate the four slaves.

Yes it does matter which way the wires are connect otherwise some doors will lock while others will unlock or when you press the lock button the doors could unlock etc etc. :)
